How to Mount M15000 Winch
So I bought a used Warn M15000 winch. Got a great deal since it's not working and seller did not know what he was dealing with. Just need to do a little soldering on the circuit board and it's fixed. That's the easy part.
Anyhow, can someone please provide me some sort of direction on how to mount this winch. I learned after I bought it that this is a front mount winch. I originally wanted to make some sort of hitch receiver mount and go that route, but I am open to all ideas now. Please help me. |

I would keep it front mounted, as the stress of 15k pulling could rip off mounting feet if done the traditional way. You could make a tray with a 90 bend in it and some bracing on the sides to adapt to a hitch mount.

Should be able to put it on about any receiver mount for a winch. Pretty much all warn winches mou t the same if you have the space to mount it it will work. Warn also sales a front recover mount for the square body trucks

I decided to custom make a hitch mount that allows the winch to be mounted front mount style. I would not dream of mounting it bottom mount style. I got to get the motor rebuilt on this winch too unfortunately. |
