I know you need a Dodge transmission or a certain Allison transmission but I don't know which one. Good luck love the Cummins engine, will be a killer truck with that in it.

Re: ok so i need your guys help

Those are awesome engines, we have a 97 Dodge 2500 5.9 12v Cummins, those things could pull down a house with no problem. They are very fun, can't wait to see yours with a Cummins in it.

Re: ok so i need your guys help

I've heard from many people that stacks are hard on the turbo-chargers. There is a guy on craigslist locally selling a 89 crew cab dually with a Cummins in it, that thing is awesome.

Re: ok so i need your guys help

Yeah but you'll like the Cummins gas mileage better than the 454.

Re: ok so i need your guys help

Budget and cummins swap are not something you hear together. =-)

Looks like all my cummins swap links are dead, but google Cummins Blazer and you'll have some reading material to keep you occupied for a while.

Alex.

Re: ok so i need your guys help

Never done one in a 2wd you will for sure need motor mounts I like the TN diesel Power mounts or build your own. I am not sure on the Crossmember you have to lower it in a 4wd. You can run your transmission with an adapter from a bread truck that had the 4bt in it. In mine I run a a 96 5.9 with a NV4500 from a Dodge it will move the hole in the floor back about 4 inches. do your research there are lots of builds on this site and also on other sites lots of guys do 4bt swaps which is the same motor minus 2 cylinders.
