Grille molding removal?
Total newbie here working on a '72 Jimmy. Would someone please tell me how to remove the outer grille molding (pieces that run down the front of the left and right fenders) without totally trashing them or the paint?! I know there are a couple clips that it 'snaps' onto but I can't get it to release from said clips. Thanks a bunch!

Re: Grille molding removal?
I've changed the grille and the outside moulding pieces. They moulding pieces have studs(3, I think) on each side that stick rearward into each fender. Not too bad to get to the nuts inside the fender with a deep socket. I think they're 3/8 or 5/16 nuts. I think I had to take the battery out on the pass. side. Shouldn't bugger up the paint at all if you're careful. Does the front of yours look like this?

Re: Grille molding removal?
Ahh, I see said the blind man! I was thinking there was a way to remove them from the front. Thanks so much for the guidance. Yes, front end looks like yours - just not quite so nice (working on that!)
