62 Chev Short Fleet on 65 Chev Short Fleet Chassis?
Will a 65 Short Fleet chassis work under a 62 Short Fleet? If so, what mods are required?

You will have to get the front cab mounts off the 62 frame and put on the 65 frame.

Re: 62 Chev Short Fleet on 65 Chev Short Fleet Chassis?
When I replied to your PM about this, I somehow read a Suburban into this....sorry about that. I guess it was your user name......
If it is a '62 truck body onto a '65 truck frame, you can just drill new holes for the front cab mount bolts. The '62 cab mounts will sit on the frame brackets just fine, just need to drill new holes. Next the bed cross sills will need either a piece added to them to sit on the '65 frame bed mounts, or extend the frame brackets to accomodate the '62 cross sills. The other issue is the rear bed sill. It has brackets that are spot welded ont it that sit on top of the frame. The '60-'62 frames are wider in the rear than the '63-'72 frames. So the '62 rear cross sills won't sit on top of the '65 frame, they will be on the outside.
