Go to www.partsamerica.com and you can get Raybestos Sure Stops for a good price. They are slotted and drilled. By ordering online, you can pick them up at any Shucks, Advance, etc. auto store. If you go into the store, the prices are higher, but they are lower if ordered online.

I e-mailed powerslot and they said they don't currently have a rotor for our trucks. They have them for the burbs. Why wouldn't the burb brakes fit our trucks?

I don't trust Raybestos. We have had bad products from them.

Do stock size drilled and slotted rotors really have any benefits besides looks maybe? IMO, the only tru benefit you will get from these kind of rotors are high performance/high diameter road racing applicatons...correct?

Slotted rotors dry much much faster and have much better wet performance. They do help, but probably not by much. TO get really noticable increase, you would have to get bigger calipers and bigger diameter rotors. Stainless Steel brakes has a kit that upgrades to aluminum 4 piston calipers & huge rotors but it costs several thousand dollars.

See my other thread about what the interchange manuals say. I also went to a bendix and a wagner site and verified the burb rotors will fit. (provided their applications are correct) I looked up the rotors for a 71 C/10 and up to a 91 Burb. same part numbers.
Crossreference Thread for Rotors I emailed powerslot today as well, I'll see what they say. Bigger is better for both rotors and calipers. Its mostly opinion with some valid points and theories on the drilled and sloted rotors of the OE size. I guess if I'm gonna buy new, and not spend thousands on a Baer kit, I will throw a few extra bucks and get the drilled / slotted / cadmium plated ones. I bought some rotors off eBay for my Mazda (read: commuter car) from user ID " raceconcepts" they worked great and were silver cadmium plated and dont rust. always look shiny. a nice plus. He said he can get them our trucks for $130 plus shipping. Baer would be my choice if I had the cash. SSB - Never again. I bought a rear disc conversion for an S-10 I had a few years ago. nothing but problems! never hear of the others ... Can anyone compare that price to what they have found? Side note: Look closely at the web address in the photo |

I hope they don't give you what they gave me.
What is everyone thinking about brake pads? I have been eyeballing those hawk pads made by Powerslot. Does anyone carry some performance shoes too? (other than www.praisedynobrake.com)

I have power slot/ power stop rotors.....that is odd. I just got them because they look good and cool better. I love the Wagner Low dust pads they are about $30 but worth it. I am about to get some new ones for my car too. Cross drilled and slotted

From my understanding, cross-drilled and/or slotted rotors only make a difference on the street in emergency situations. Tests show they reduce the braking distance from 60-0mph a considerable amount.

I must have missed it, buy when I went to their site, I saw no listing for rotors for C-10 trucks, just S-10 trucks.
