Which IFS to purchase?

Hey guys. starting on my dads chassis. It is a 55 chevy truck and I am building the full frame for it. I have been shopping around for a bagged front suspension. Been looking at Speedways kits. Trying to stay around the 2000.00 range. Any pointers from you guys experiences with different kits is highly appreciated.

Here's what I have - I intended to have this on the road by now but life gets in the way.....if is from Scott's - it is not bagged but they have a bagged kit like it.

I went with No Limit Engineering IFS and it was real simple to install and a nicely put together kit. Handles very well on the street, a huge improvement over the stock suspension.Great customer service as well.

Havent purchased on yet buy Im leaning towards No Limit Engineering. They are local to me and I have herd good things from a few guys around here.

I have a tci bagged, haven't had it on the road yet. Nice fit and finish though. I have helped install a Scott's coil over set up, nice ifs as well.

Yes.... you have to trim around the hat you weld on the top of the frame.
Not a very good picture but you can see the part that needs to be trimmed

Getting ready to purchase within the next few days.. speedways kit with the bigger brakes and tube arms is around 1900.

for what its worth...
I just completed an installation of a TCI MII with coil springs on my 56.

Without removing the front sheet metal, yes it is possible, but had to remove the engine.

Went with CPP 6 lug hubs and big brakes since I wanted to stick with my 6 lug smoothies. Note the inner fender cut-out.

With NON-dropped spindles, it sets at the came height it sat at with only four (4) leaves in the original front spring pack.
This is actually a before picture, but ride height is unchanged.

The ride and handling are GREAT!!
I've got non-power brakes, master cylinder is 1 inch bore, rear brakes are OEM and the stopping power is more than adequate.

Here is one more option for you our ifs is a few more hundred than the speedways kit.Our ifs is made in the USA and our ifs will come with a Alden Coil-over rather than a coil-spring.Our crossmember is made to be a one piece style for a much easier install and a much stronger design.Most of all we have huge member disounts that will save you a lot of $$$$$.
