Re: Rinc's 72 K-20
The truck looks like a great solid ride! Those are nice clean wheels! That's what I want on mine.

Re: Rinc's 72 K-20
It has what I believe is a 6in lift. Tyres are Goodyear Duratrac MT's 315-75-16. Rims are the MB Razors. Tried to buy the MB 72's but they didnt fit over the tir rod.

Re: Rinc's 72 K-20
Thanks. Been into lowered stuff for 15 years or so. This is my 1st lifted truck. Lots of stuff to learn.
This is a pic of the 1st rim that didnt fit. MB 72's I liked these. Wish they would had fit.

Re: Rinc's 72 K-20
OK. So I wish I had bought a 66 or older truck now !
I hate being required to run thru emissions. So my day started out with coffee ..... Hahah .... er .... um. So ... Went to run it thru emissions. The idle #'s were a bit high. Drove truck across street to a shop to tune carb. Went back to test it again an BAM ! My rear brakes aint working while in drive to hold the tyres at a stop on the rollers. I know the pedal is mushy. So went down the road to get them adjusted. The adjusters were frozen. Went thru to test it a 3rd time ! Same ..... no rear brakes. So after 5 hours of temps above 189deg I went home frustrated an wanting a beer or 30. Tomorow gonna check if fluid is getting to the rear. If need be, gonna r&r the master cylinder.

Re: Rinc's 72 K-20
OK so now I am less mad about the smog test.
My Dad an me waited till late today till the sun was off the driveway. We went out to check why we had no rear brakes. We made sure at first that fluid was reaching the rear. Turns out the bleeders were clogged. We cleaned them up, bled the brakes an BAM ! I now has rear brakes. Drove it round the block. Was a nicer drive as the pedal wasnt as mushy. Then parked in the driveway. Got the jack under the rearend. With it in drive, we double checked the brakes were stopping the tyres from rolling. They stopped. So off to drive me Dad to work in the morn. I'll stop by Fly N Hi Offroad an get a steering stabalizer an head over for the smog test. AWE YEA ! Git R Done

of course if everything else it good you may need the stabilizer, but make sure all the common wear parts up there are good before you go to the stabilizer.
