Old Dogdish Caps--Value ?
Recently aquired these old caps in a parts deal and not sure about them for a value. The pair of GMC caps I believe are late '47 thru maybe '53, the single GMC chrome cap I think is '61-'63 and the painted Chev. cap is '67 or '68. Would appreciate some input on the value. I will be putting them on the appropriate parts forum when I can get a fair value decided. All four caps are driver quality with some minor dings and such but look pretty good for their age.

Re: Old Dogdish Caps--Value ?
Thanks for the correction on the painted Chevy cap being a '64-'65 cap. Any idea as to the value on each of the four caps?

Re: Old Dogdish Caps--Value ?
I'd say around $20-25 each. Great wall art! Sharpie

Re: Old Dogdish Caps--Value ?
Thanks for the reply Sharpie. I was thinking along those same lines myself but was not sure. Guess I will post to the appropriate parts forum and see what happens.

Re: Old Dogdish Caps--Value ?
The painted 64-5 cap looks decent and should get you somewhere between $20 and $40 depending upon the mounting method and specific application. Does it have a flange for clips, or no flange for wheel nubs? Generally clip type caps are a little harder to sell. Also, hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like it may be a shallow van cap. They appear the same as the truck version, but not as deep.
The 63 cap looks a little beat, but those are harder to find, so similar value. Same issues with clip flanges or not. no clue on the others. |
