picked up my 1st stepside today

Came across a deal on Craigs list and jumped on it. Don't really have time to work on it right now with the Blazer build but for the price could not pass it up. It is a 70 short step on a 71/72 frame. Already 5 lug disk in front. The rear has leafs instead of factory coils. I assume that would indicate frame came from a GMC?

Here is the only picture I have at the moment No drivetrain but set up for A/T

Gonna need a good tailgate at some point

Richard

Nice looking truck.

Both GMC's and Chevy's could have coils or leafs.

Another trailer queen, huh? From what I can see it looks decent. It's true GMCs usually had leafs and Chevys usually had coils. Leaf was an option, even on GMCs,although it would seem coils would be the option on a GMC. Have fun with it...whenever you can get to it.

Had to trailer this one.....I get to choose my own power plant combo LOL

And had to modify the rear rails of the trailer to get these old chevys to fit.

I have had the "disease" since I was 12 when my dad got his 69' LWB. It later became my 1st truck when he picked up a nice 71'. That was 30 years ago. Wish I had back all the ones I let go...........

Told my wife I can't afford to cure the disease since we have no health insurance. Instead I will feed the disease.

The garage is 40 x 105 but its just not big enough anymore

Told the wife now all i need is a 4x4 sub and I can call it a day but she saw right thru it.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Richard

Richard - a 40 X 105 building is a warehouse not a garage .

Well it used to be my sign shop but got to big to be at the house so moved the sign shop to town and made this my man cave. now if I could get the disease under control I could save enough money to buy me a lift. I got 16' ceilings and nothing to put there.

Congrats on the stepper save! A good step bed is worth $$$ these days.

Good find. Not a long bed, but at least it's a stepper.
