blazer tank install lines questions

Hello.
I installed a blazer tank, the bed is off so I'm running lines..
the truck is a 71. the factory tank has two lines going from under cab to engine area.. didn't see a charcoal can, so my best guess is both go to the pump.. , trucks not here to look it over..

the tank has the filler neck and a small neck near it 3/8"thats the filler vent. I think?

the other side of the tank there is another 3/8" neck.. aiming toward the pass side frame..
what is that for..

I know what the one in the sender is.. lol

I'd like to add a charcoal can and a return line so if I ever go it efi it's there..

anyone have the factory routing of a rear tank lines,
I know I'll need to add a line for a return , and mostlikely change the sender line size to feed a 496..
any insight, thanks

Re: blazer tank install lines questions

Was your blazer tank from a year that had efi? I did a blazer tank and it was one from an efi vehicle. I am using the in tank pump/sending unit. The pictures show the top of the sending unit/pump. I have a 3/8" pump line (to the fuel pressure regulator), a 5/16" return line (returns back from the fuel pressure regulator bypass port), a 1/4" that goes to what I think is a rollover vent valve (that got a breather valve from a lawn mower and attached to the bottom of the bed) and a 5/8" vent line that gets routed to the gas filler. You don't need the charcoal canister unless you want to keep things close to stock. I removed all the original lines and replaced with what I needed. Used all steel lines with fuel injection rubber line as needed at the tank connection, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator) with the correct clamps (doubled at each connection). Hope that helps.
