Which header gaskets to use?

I have a set of Hooker Super Competition headers that I just got for my 535. It has Air Flow Research heads on it which I believe have D port exhaust shape. Do the regular Fel Pro header gaskets work fine on these? The welded portion on the inboard side of the header flange nowhere near matches the profile of the header gasket. In the past I always get exhaust leaks around the flanges no matter what I do but maybe I just don't know how to put a set of headers on the right way. I have some copper gaskets that I tried and they were even worse!

Re: Which header gaskets to use?

Hmm not sure which ones I need! The ones AFR suggest are there "AFR 6858" which are round and have 2.130 inch holes. But my headers only have 1 7/8 primary tubes. I will call them on Monday and find out for sure which to use. Thank you again for the wonderful offer. I will be happy to pay the shipping on them if you let me
