Steering Wheel Adapter

I've recently purchased a 1965-66 Chevy Wood Wheel.. Picture below..
I'd like to put it in my 1972 C20.
I've read that the 67-68 Camaro adapter works for this column, but mine has Tilt.. is there a difference in the regular and tilt adapters?

Which adapter works for this wheel, and my tilt column?

Thanks..
J.

Re: Steering Wheel Adapter

Sharp wheel. I believe you are correct the mounting hub (adapter) for a 67-68 Camaro works best for our trucks. The 69 and up have a larger 4-1/8" diameter hub (larger column for integral ignition switch started that year).
I am in a similar stage in mounting my saddle colored comfort (cushion) grip wheel and have not found any information that would suggest standard and tilt columns take a different hub.
How deep is that wheel? You may find this wheel you have will be quite a bit closer to the driver once you get it all mounted up.

Re: Steering Wheel Adapter

Thanks for the information..
And thanks for the compliment, I really prefer this wheel style to the three spoke..
But I also have a comfortgrip style out of a 72 Corvette that I was going to mount..
Not sure what I'll do with that one.. maybe put it up on Craigslist.

This wheel is similar in style to the stock wheel, and I believe it's about 3.5" deep
Smaller in diameter by an inch.
