Thumbs up my 84 chevy scottsdale

As all of you know I have put my 84 chevy up to sell for parts after it got broken into. I was sick for a while over it.Tommy got a new window for me the other day, and two days ago I got it running again, after finally getting some more new parts.I hope the members on the board will not hate me too bad for all the posts I have made to sell the truck. But I have decided to keep it. I have applied for a new vin number today and it should be here in about 6 weeks. I am sorry if I made anybody mad or anything.I will withdraw from the board if ya'll think I should.I await your decision....Jim...RiverCityChevy.

when ya first posted about your loss i suggested you put the decision to part it on hold til ya had a chance to get past its shock and anger. Im glad to see youve decided not to give up but to fight back and keep the truck. I wish ya many more happy miles with it and i for one aint mad, annoyed, pissed etc at ya for your decision; ya know what they say better late than never.. as for leaving the board... are you nucking futs?????? hang around dude!! we all like to have ya around

i cant see any reason that anyone would be mad. personally, i think the more 73-87 truck lovers, the better. i'd really hate to see one go because someone else thought they wanted some stuff more than the owner did.

new vin number

Ok I will elaborate, when my truck got broken into they stole 600 bucks worth of parts, and stripped the vins out of the dash, the door and glove box. the state police came, checked the number on the frame against my title, and said I could take 10 bucks to the clerks office and apply for a replacement vin number. thats why I am doing it...Jim
