1991 suburban door issue

I realized I have a issue with my drivers door today. I always knew it was off a little as it is scrubbing the striker and wearing it down.
I had a set of new hinge pins to install and started sizing it up today.
It looks like the skin is separated from the inner shell and allowing the hinge plate plate to flex. I noticed a small crack in the leading edge of the door when I purchased the suburban. but it looks like there is at least a 5 inch area that is moving.
Have you guys seen this before?
How would you repair?

I figured this wasn't isolated to suburban's so it could fit in here.
