New Truck
Just came home with this 65 about two days ago. Inline six. Three on column. Pretty solid. Couple of smaller rust areas. Gotta make turn signals work but everything else works. Drove it home over set of mountains for two and a half hours, left in in driveway and it didn't leak a drop of anything. Can't wait to start tinkering...............Gonna have to find a way to change my screen name now.

Re: New Truck
Brian I'm just gonna try to make it as good and clean a running truck as I can. Slowly and carefully clean up the engine compartment and undercarraige, gotta get the windshield wipers working, in cab overhead light working, simple stuff to start. Probably get the bench seat covered nicely. Refinish the bed boards (they're actually new looking underneath). Put in a radiator overflow tank. That's it to start. Took some getting used to driving a no power anything truck. But it's a blast.

Re: New Truck
Congratulations that's a beautiful truck. When you get to debugging the dome light, just note the wire going directly to the bulb is hot (has constant 12v power). The ground side of the circuit controls the light, and is activated by a separate tab on the side of the headlight switch.
Also if you care, here's a link on how to install door activated dome light switches. I copied the article exactly to put door switches in mine and they work perfectly: http://www.persh.org/pickup/DomeLight.htm
