Pics of fuel doors in the bedside on a 67-72!
So, we got the door/filler assy. out of a 91 ranger, but we were looking at an s-blazer option as well. Has anyone got pics of different thru-bedside installs to help settle the round vs. square debate on our 71 SWB? Thanks, Chip

Here are a few I have done, I tend to prefer square ones, The orange truck has mid 80's Ford doors, Turquoise Blazer had 92 Dodge Dakota doors, the white and primered one is from a 70's Chevy van.

This is still VERY rough but may help. Notice the height most are mounted? I kept mine high to assure no filling (burping back) issues. After looking at these square doors I must say they look good.

Thanks for the replies! Our current situation is very close to hotrob. Looked at my 05 ccsb Chevy and it looks pretty good, so were still kinda up in the air.

Re: Pics of fuel doors in the bedside on a 67-72!
I like all of the doors in the bedside shown, so far, on this thread. RexDodge has a nice approach and I think it is going to just get better, as it reaches a finished state. Yet, for some reason, and it's probably just the lines of the trucks and Blazer shown, I really like the square doors.
Mine is mounted in the bed, at the rear of the wheel tub, and I do not like it at all. Given my job situation, I may be selling one more of my trucks (my Tahoe is already scheduled for sale in July), so I may not be able to continue working further on my little Copper truck. Might have to turn some time, attention, and dollars towards my 1-Ton as I don't have a tow/haul vehicle at present. This is the fewest number of vehicles I've had in years!! lol Does anyone have a thread showing the install of a gas door in the bedside? I'd really like to see the process.

With no side trim round works but with the trim I like square. And yes higher is better as mine fills a little slow....
