Re: Difference between 68 C/10 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton ?

I just saw a 68 shortbed , 6 lug. Vin says its 3/4 ton. Can this still be a C10 ? Or is it now a C20 ? If its 3/4 shouldent it be C/20 with 8 lugs ? And are all 3/4 ton C20 long bed ?

All C-20s are long beds.

There are quite a few differences between a C-10 and a C-20 in suspension, running gear and differentials.

C-20s have heavier springs, larger steering gear, heavier duty brakes, a re-enforced trailing arms and extra braces at the cross member that the trailing arms hook to and thicker rear cab mounts to name some of the differences.
