Rear differential cover for 71 2WD
My rear differential cover is really rusty, and the previous owner ran over something tall and hard because the bottom of the cover is bent and the gasket is shredded.
If this cover can't be saved, where can I find a good replacement? I have a 71 2WD, and I'm fairly certain the rear differential is stock. I found this page: Rear differential Are these good quality? I've read through a lot of threads on this forum, and it seems like people often mention LMC parts as being not so great. |

You can get a 12 bolt rear diff cover just about anywhere (O'rielly's, Napa) or even go to summitracing.com or jegs.com for something a little flashier. Just make sure you get the gasket too, and also count the # of bolts and check the shape that it looks like the LMC picture 1st.

I have an extra one on the shelf. It's already been cleaned and ready to bolt on if you are interested in a stocker.
