4l60e wiring question
I am finishing up my wire harness conversion but I have a couple questions. I have studied many threads, lt1swap.com and the schematics but I am curious about a couple transmission wires.
cut from block C2: A9 LT GRN Back-Up Lamp Feed E3 LT GRN Transmission Mounted Neutral Safety Switch Output - PARK F10 PPL/WHT Starter Relay Feed - Coil F11 YEL Transmission Mounted Neutral Safety Switch Output - Park/Neutral Are these wires important? They seem important to me, but they are not listed on LT1swap.com as needing power. What did you guys do with these? Also, what did you guys do with the single wire coming from the oil pressure sensor? It came from connector c-100 location J. Does the computer read oil pressure? Sorry for all of the questions. Thanks in advance for the help. -Mike |

Re: 4l60e wiring question
Those wires go to the range sensor/ neutral safety switch mounted on the side of the trans. You don't need them unless you're keeping the big under hood fusebox.
Oil pressure wire doesn't need to be hooked up either. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 4l60e wiring question
So the computer doesnt need to get a reading from the oil pressure sensor? It seems like a reading that would be needed.
the reason i ask is that i broke off the sensor when i was installing my new intake and i am having trouble finding the replacement. thanks for the help. |

Re: 4l60e wiring question
I think some of the newer DOD engines use it, but the majority of them do not, it's just for the gauge.
