'69 longbed fuel tank conversiom
Last weekend we took the bed off the '69 LB c10, painted frame (Rust Encapsulator) and installled LMC fuel tank conversion. When we sat the bed back on truck last night there is a cross member for the bed floor (wood) running on top of the tank and fuel neck. Has anyone else had this problem? Not sure if I need to drop tank more, if I can drop it enough, or do I need to chop the cross member. What worries me about cutting cross member is that it is a wooden bed and will eliminating it make that section of the bed to weak?
