What size disc brakes can I fit under my wheels?
I have 15 inch steel smoothies. 2nd pic.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=498080 What disc brakes would be recommended for these wheels? Should I upgrade to bigger wheels for 12-13 inch rotor? Trying to stay on budget so I would like to keep these wheels for now. |

Re: What size disc brakes can I fit under my wheels?
It all depends on how large of brake you want to go with. Going with a 13" rotor, you will definitely have to step up to a 17" wheel. If you are looking for just a disc brake conversion, which allows you to go keep the same wheels, then a McGaughys kit would be the way to go. They even offer 13" kits also, that are more affordable vs. the Baer or Wilwood.
Let me know if you want some pricing on McGaughys parts. - Travis |

If its just a normal truck the factory disc are big enough and parts stores will always have parts for it.
