I'm using my vise. When I took the back cover off, the end of the shaft
protruded just enough outside of the housing so I could set it on the back vise jaw.
I used a socket on the flange end. I had marked it so I could see any movement.
I cranked down on the vise pretty hard for it to move. Overall it
went very well. This is a new water pump but the box says made in china.
It looks pretty good but I don't know how it compares to the original.
