1963 C20 power steering donor question
I see a 1/2 ton and 1 ton 1970's potential power steering donor trucks at a local yard. Are either of these boxes suitable for a 1963 3/4 ton PS conversion? What are the differences between these various boxes?
THX in advance. |

Re: 1963 C20 power steering donor question
The power steering boxes from '68-'87 on the C10, 20 and 30's are all basically the same. I believe the only difference is that the '68-70 or '72 are a slower ratio than the later model boxes. The mounting pattern on them are all the same. The steering box itself is also the same on the K series trucks, but they will not work on a C series trucks due to the different sector shaft and pitman arm. Just something to be aware of when shopping for a steering box.
