balancing tires ? centercap bolts ?
I at the moment will be use'n 73-87 g.m. truck rally wheels..
when balanced should I have the bolts that hold the centercaps on.. screwed into the wheel.. or does the even placement of those three bolts. make it pointless.. (not running trim rings) thanks.. |

Re: balancing tires ? centercap bolts ?
Unless your balancing on the vehicle, the caps going to have to be out, along with the lug nuts. A machine has a shaft that passes thru the center hole, a bubble balancer also has a hub that passes thru. For a accurate balance, the center hole must be clean, as well as the back of the wheel where the lug studs pass thru.

Re: balancing tires ? centercap bolts ?
we dont ever put the bolts back in to balance the tires.. very rarely do we even put the trim rings on.. ou should be ok on the balance with leaving the bolts out.. just take it to a good tire shop that has someone that knows what they r doing ot balance em
