carb floodin
ok people let me run somethin by u, c if yaw can figure this out, 1953 chevy truck with an ls motor in it, with holley carb. all of a sudden it started flooding in the front bowl for no apparent reason so i adjusted the float more than one time an still nothin, so bought a brand spankin new one, slapped it on an low an behold the same problum, it has a carter carb fuel pump so i figured i would put the regulator on there an no good, turnd it down to 2 pounds an it still leaks but only the front, any ideas

may be a bad seal on the inlet needle.or a piece of somthing in the needle valve.

what pressure are you running for your carb? you should be 5-7 psi MAX! or else you will over fuel and max out the floats in the bowls causing the carb to over fuel badly. could even be a bad metering block assembly but on a brand new carb, it just doesnt compute.

well he found out that on the new carb the float was bent an the old carb was the needle valve screwed up, thanks for yaws help
