door motors
is there a way to check the window motors by using a 12 volt source and if so what wire or does anyone have a diagram the doors are off the truck thanks ....

Turn the key on, hold the switch down, and smack the motor with a hammer. If it starts running, you need a new motor.

Hi Bryan,
The motors themselves should only have 2 wires leading to them. Brown and Dark Blue if I remember correctly. Just hook one wire to power and the other to ground. Reversing the polarity should make the motor run in the opposite direction. The metal motor housing does not need to be grounded for this test. |
