Re: looking for GMC step truck lwb
I guess it's sort of a rare duck. Come to think of it, I've never seen a lwb GMC stepside.

Re: GMC step truck lwb
I've never seen any GMC Stepsides, but I've seen a lot of Fendersides
I don't know if I ever saw a big block C2500 Fenderside before. I've had two Chevy C/20 396 Stepsides, both '69s. One was a highly optioned CST/20,which I thought was rare. Someone wanted it just that way,Medium Gold Poly w/Gold (Sandalwood) interior,A/C,Auto... The other was cool, too. It was a Woodland Green C/20 w/Green interior,4spd,No-Spin,clearance lamps,HD everything, accessory spot light and grille guard. It had 8.25 x 16.5s on front and 9.75s on rear painted black w/o caps. Someone knew just what they wanted with that one, too. I've seen plenty of C2500 and long 1500 Fendersides over the years. Just can't say what engines they had. I have a K2500 and I'm putting together everything for a Fenderside bed now.

Re: GMC step truck lwb
Did GMC have their version of a Longhorn? Now, that's a LWB if you want one.
When I asked "why", I wasn't trying to be a wise guy, but wondered if it was because of a childhood memory, or some specific want/need to fulfill.

Re: GMC step truck lwb
You're doing a great job with that truck. I only had one member's K/10 in my pictures. There's a member in Louisiana named Lawman something or other that has a big bad K2500. Here are some C2500s:

Re: GMC step truck lwb
Here ya go,LawMan02 is the owner of this bad boy:
Oh well, whatever. For some stupid reason all I keep getting is "this image has an incorrect file extension". WTF? I hate these damn computers. I go find the guy's user name, visit his profile, save his truck's image, and for some stupid reason this dumb machine won't let me show you the picture. Go visit his profile to see this truck,if the stupid machine will let you.

Re: GMC step truck lwb
Yeah,I really want to do it,too. I kept changing my mind. I had a complete bed, then sold it. I also bought a pair of new take-off fenders and long steps, then sold them. Now I have bedsides and long steps...and a N.O.S. GMC tailgate I've been hanging on to. I guess I kept changing my mind because I use the truck and have ladder racks I sometimes need to clamp on. But,I'll come up with a headache rack and some sort of cross bar for the rear pockets if I need to haul anything long. That,or end up with another long wide truck...maybe a decent C/20.
