Need wheel ideas
Hey guys, i have a 1970 c10 thats a 6 lug and i'm wanting to find some wheels to go with it.i'm wanting to go with 16" or 17" with wider tires on the back. What size tire can i go up to without having to worry about them rubbing on the back wheel wells? Any help would be awesome!

Re: Need wheel ideas
You can go as wide as a 295 and be Ok, but it all depends on the wheel backspace as well. If going with a one piece wheel that has a pre-determined backspace (or offset), then you will want to look for one around a 4.75" backspace. You can also go with one around 5.5" backspace which might be more common, but would have to run a spacer to fit correctly.
If you decide to go with a custom built wheel, like a 2 piece, then you just want to make sure you get the correct backspace. Some wheels, if tucked too far in, will rub, thus limiting the width of tire in some cases. It is a little harder to find "off the shelf" 6-lug wheels that will have the ideal backspace. I am sure other member with a 6-lug setup can help though. Travis |

Re: Need wheel ideas
I just came across a place I should be able to get 6 lug spacers at. When you find wheels you like, let me know what spacer you may need, and I can check on it for you.
