Although the wife loves the new floor covering, she admitted she just didn’t like it as much without the diamond tufted firewall cover. So it went back in today. I have to admit I like it better with the upholstery too. If I can ever find a safe and attractive way to attach a heavy headliner I’ll upholster that as well.
![]() Edit - I just switched pictures because I realized the firewall pad was crooked. I corrected the misalignment but the sun moved so I couldn't duplicate the previous shot. Also got the garage cleaned up today and sliced up the old mat so it would fit in the trash. It’s nice not having all the extra holes in the floor mat where the old gas pedal use to mount. I’m looking forward to getting back on polishing the windshield trim in the next couple of days.
