Good day, Bad day

Me and my dad have been working on my truck, Nancy, and we finally got her ready to go to the mechanic shop so they can work on the transmission. I turned 16 two days ago. I went to go take my test today, and i failed the parallel parking lol. I hit the pole with my mom's mirror. (That's okay, I was driving a Ford) Here are a few pics of the progress we made, and before she went to the mechanic.

Re: Good day, Bad day

Parallel parking, huh? I took my oldest granddaughter to take her drivers test and all she had to do was pull it back into a slot that you back from, or not. Lots of people just don't know how to park parallel to the curb because the trend is not to parallel park.

Just for tickles and grins...I like to parallel park my 40-ft school bus...if I have enough room. But, I do it.

Good luck...and next time, watch where the poles are by planning where you park (if you have any say-so).

Oh, nice ride for a new driver. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

Re: Good day, Bad day

best way to not ding anything when parallel parking is to park somewhere else. Having said that, ya gotta do it to pass - sorry you get to try again. You, young man, have a killer truck. What I'd have given for a cheyenne super at 16. Ok, actually, what I'd give for one NOW. You must have had one heck of a paper route for the past few years. Congrats - don't sweat it, you'll pass real soon. Follow the Brady Bunch advice, picture the evaluator in underwear and you won't be nervous. Now I'm really dating myself... Marsha Marsha Marsha. She was so hot, now she's a bit of a loon. Musta been that bang on the snoot with the football..... (ok, I'm way off topic, sorry )

Re: Good day, Bad day

Thanks for all the compliments. I passed my test yesterday! I passed the parallel parking perfect. I really took my time doing it. (I think the driving instructor got impatient with me. LOL.) The only thing left is to wait for Nancy to get out of the mechanic. They said no more than 2 weeks. That's if they don't run into any issues.

Thanks again,
Wyatt

Re: Good day, Bad day

Yep, me too but I failed for getting stuck in snow. Backed in perfect go to make the kill forward .......spinning tire. Funny thing was a month later when I went back to try again, paralell parking was not part of the test, for some BS reason. People don't paralell park anymore or something like that. That didn't last long. Go figure. Nice truck, Congratulations on your test. Take care of yourself and your truck. Watch out for some of those maniac drivers in NJ, in a rush to go nowhere fast. Nick

It's a one piece floor mat. I got it from Classic Industries. They have many choices and options on their website for a good price.

Nice truck, if you can help it don't ever get rid of her. I still have my first truck, a 68 from when I was in high school. Lots of good memories!!

Re: Good day, Bad day

Wyatt,

Congratulations on making it to 16 and earning your driving license. My boy Joe, who's now 21, failed his first attempt at the driving test. Something about a rolling stop and an illegal left turn.

Take care and do something nice for your dad today.
