4400 Repo Parts Help needed!!

I need to get a Repo Grille or a good condition S/H Grille for my 1949 4400 Truck.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

I also don't have the original steering gears, can I use a vega box instead??

NO! Not unless you have cut the truck down to half ton size.

The original steering gear is quite a bit bigger than the half ton steering gear box and a vega steering box wouldn't come close to handling the load.

At least I managed to find a repo grille at Jim Carters www.oldchevytrucks.com
