Here's a picture of the dash, Dad has it all put back together .. I think it looks awesome
![]() The metal plate on the floor on the pass side looks like it is covering rust, but we looked under it, around it, on the bottom of the floor pans, etc. There is no rust through or even surface rust on the top to speak of. It is 42 yr old original floor pans so nothing more than the normal crud that builds up over time .. Honestly I thought about taking it off. I'm not even sure why it's there. Maybe the floor pans were getting hot or something? When I got it, the truck didn't have any carpet in it at all .. but I have a new molded black set that will go in on Monday. New sill plates, etc .. I think I'm just going to leave that plate on it and Dynamat / Carpet and just go with it. That plate has been there a looong time .. not sure why ?? Bizarre yes, but not a big deal to me.
