Advice on driprail install on 74

My 74 swb has the driprails shaved. I went to the junkyard and found a nice clean pair. I want to install them since they do help with the rain. How do I go about putting them back on? Is there a gasket I have to buy?

I have only re-installed never first time. I would get measuring points off the donor truck mark and drill. Hex head tec screws are what hold mine on. I have not seen a gasket but they may exist. I would get them to fit as tight as possible then use a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive, silicone may be better.

They had/have a thin piece of double back tape on them for a gasket basically.

Re: Advice on driprail install on 74

Lay out some blue 3M tape on the truck. Then hold up the drip to the truck and get it exactly where you want it. Put some tape on the drip rail to hold it in place then take a sharp pencil and trace out the holes. Remove the rail and drill out the holes marked on the blue tape. When done, test fit, then remove all tape and screw the rails to the cab. Fairly easy to do.
