For that matter which repro sheetmetal has anyone been really pleased with. Its getting to crunch time for me and I'm going to be spending some coin and I don't like disappointments.
I recieved a Fit-rite bed end panel from Wes at Classic heartbeat and it appears great from what I can tell.

Your best bet is www.gmcpauls.com
Paul makes sure he gets the best fitting repro parts. I have 2 of his 69-72 Chevy front fenders. Haven't hung them yet though.
Goomark doesn't make fenders. And it seems the most problems I have heard of are with the fenders and cowl hoods they sell.

Well you could come check my supply. I have a couple of fenders here from fitrite. They are great fenders, 1.2ml. thick and fit great also. I have sold lots of them, especially during my open house and my customers seemed to be realy pleased with them. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Wes, You say the firite fenders are 1.2ml thick. Do you or anyone know how thick the factory fenders were? Also, Wes, I'll be needing a 68 front fender in a while. Please e-mail me the price at darrengale67@hotmail.com. Thanks. Darren

I am just like any other vendor, I get parts from both Fit-Rite and Goodmark. I can order cowl hoods from Fit-Rite and they are in a Goodmark box and the same with Goodmark hoods, in a Goodmark box but stamped TPS instead of Goodmark. I got 40 rockers from Goodmark and if you look under the Goodmark sticker it says Fit-Rite. To say one company is better than another is hard to say. I don't want to speak for other vendors on the board but if you have a problem I am sure the vendors will do what is possible to make it right. The biggest difference I see is the bumpers. Goodmark has a lifetime guarantee and Fit-rite has a five year guarantee. Both companies bumpers fit and look great. My .02.

Goodmark uses the same manufacturer as some of fitrite. Goodmark went to Gorden on the left front fenders for at least 69-72 chevy, because they were cheaper. From what I have heard those fenders don't fit as well. They have been pushing to buy up a lot of the exclusive rights on a lot of the Chevy parts. This is so they can put the GM restoration parts lable on them and drive the prices up. We use to be able to buy all the cowl hoods from fitrite however now we can only get the 67-72s. Goodmark has the others all locked up from tripless, who is actualy the manufacturer of those. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Once Fit-Rite runs out of the cowl hoods from 73 and up Goodmark will supply the hoods we sell. There are a few other cowl hood manufacturers out there that we are thinking of buying into. I am planning on ordering one for the 95 dually to see how they fit. Will post my opinion when I do the test fit.

Thanks for the input guys! I think my fenders were stamped CY. They look real nice off the truck but my problem is when I got them on the truck the grill shell will not go on right. Still going to try a few things. I guess none of the board has tried these fenders.

just a short reply, if you measure the fender straight down were the emblems go you will see why the grill will not fit. these fenders are about a half of a inch short, which makes the grill not fit. i even tried cutting spot welds and refitting skin , gave up,but they sure look nice hanging on my wall. GOOD LUCK SNOWMAN fedup in ill.
