Found this during teardown
Uncovered this brass token being used as a washer:
One side says "Loaned for Amusement" The other says "Property of O.K. Vending" Not sure if that's creative engineering or lazy engineering. A bit of both I guess.

Re: Found this during teardown
Here's a clean version found on the web:
Vender not Vending...

Re: Found this during teardown
From the time that these were just work trucks and you used what was handy to keep them going. Probably saved a nickle and hour trip to the hardware store, or longer if he lived in the country. I'd use it someplace on the truck for good luck!

I'd keep it on the truck.

Re: Found this during teardown
Keeping it for sure. Maybe as a knob end, maybe embedded in acrylic as a gear shift knob, maybe just dangling from the mirror.

Re: Found this during teardown
A quick search on the web shows that these were used in quasi-legal bunco slot machines. Between 1910 and 1932. Awesome!
For those interested: http://users.pullman.com/fjstevens/t...unco/okay.html Wonder how long it sat in somebody's junk drawer/bucket/bottle before it found it's way onto my truck.
