Tach dash colors ???

What is the correct color for the tach needle?
I am restoring my dash and have the orange for the rest of the needles but the tach appears white. Is this correct or is it just faded that bad? The center looks orange.

The one on the left is BRAKE and the other is GENERATOR but I have never seen the GEN light, light up.

On the 1/2 ton through one ton, the light on the left is brake, and the right one is GEN, however, if you have the optional guages (*as shown) the GEN light is disabled.
If the fuel guage is out of a bigger truck, one will say tandom lock, and I think the other is low air.

testor's orange, in the little vile works fine for the needles, cut a circular piece of paper with a slit down the middle slip it over the guage and between the needle, and then paint away

I mixed regular orange with Flourescent Orange to enhance the glow a bit. It came out a bit closer to the original hue.

In the dash pictured, the tach center is orange surrounded by white with an orange needle. So it appears.
Mine appears orange center surrounded by black with a white needle. Difference in years or vac dash?
