Lining the bed floor

So about a year ago when I was browsing eBaymotors, I ran across a truck of our era with just the rippled bed floor coated with either Rhinoliner or Line-X. But it was just that. Bed floor only. Does anyone else have this done? or any other ideas? Recommendations?
Thanks
Jeryd

Re: Lining the bed floor

I am researching bed liner options for my truck..I know member Chevy_Mike used U-pol Raptor black liner just on his floor. Looked very nice.

Re: Lining the bed floor

When i first restored mine around 12 yrs. ago, i did the bed (and sides, wheel wells) with Rhino liner. It has held up pretty good. However, i really wished i would have put the time and money into restoring the bed. It looks good, but i've seen some pics of some really nice restored beds on this site. If i had it to do over, i wouldn't have used it. Also depends on your budget, at the time the lining was all i could afford.

Re: Lining the bed floor

I have done two/three cars with the at home Rhino-liner kits. My dads truck bed, and the entire interior of my Wrangler, as well as about half of the exterior body on my wrangler. The stuff is tough, and easy to touchup if scarred/worn down.

I plan to do my entire bed with it when, I get to that point. My plan is for a "Nice daily" and will be getting rid of my wife's truck once the c10 hits the open road. So for me it is a question of usability. I am not going to invest the time in restoring, and painting the bed only to use it and see it beat to ****. I am going to meet myself halfway and work out the dents and get it straight, but coat it in Rhino instead of paint.

BTW the roll-on works just fine, good even if you are patient and careful, though I am going to try spray on this time around for a more uniform coat.

Re: Lining the bed floor

i just used the herculiner roll-on coating on two 12 foot M35 beds for my fire department. Pretty good price and they turned out better than I expected, but if i were doing it to my 68 I'd probly have it sprayed for more of an even coat.
