57 El Camino

After twenty five years of sitting around, my best friend finally decided to get started on this project. He does not have a computer so I told I would post it for him.

59-60 was the first year for the El Camino after 60 El Caminos were not produced until 1964. This car started life out as a 1957 two door Chevy wagon. The rear window is from a 1957 F***d wagon, it is used to have a curved back glass and forward lean.

Re: 57 El Camino

This is going to be a neat build. What are you planning for the roof. Im thining a 60-66 chevy truck return would be cool.

I was wondering what the back glass is from, it looks perfect on there. This is going to be awesome! I saw quite a few elkys out and about this weekend. A 66, a couple 70-72's, and a couple of the late 70's/80's ones...

Re: 57 El Camino

Been awhile since the last work done on the 57. Here is some of the latest roof fitting. Progress is a little slow.

That actually looks real good. Plenty have been built but don't look right. Tell him to keep up the good work. That ford window look right on
