More ???questions

Ihave a 69 that is supposed to have a 327-325 hp. in it. I cleaned the front of the heads off and all i found was one round hump in the middle of the heads. no numbers. the motor has the same configuration as the one in teeitups post on the parts board. except the alt, is on the passenger side the engine is to close to the firewall to get those numberswithout pulling the engine. can anybody tell me what it is or where to find some numbers. as always thank,s OLDSKOOL did you get that info i faxed you and did it help.

Can you post the information off of the block pad, (right front of engine, probably under your alternator)?

Hello,

You really need to get the block casting number to know what you really have in the truck. Also, if you take the valve cover off of one of the heads and get the head casting number it will help discern what horsepower the motor is. It is probably not a 325 horse motor but if you can get the casting number off the block and the heads you can get a pretty good idea of what you have. Post the numbers on this post and someone will help you figure it out. I have found that this board is a good place to find answers to our truck and motor questions as there are some very knowledgeable members.
