3/4 ton link Question
I have a 68 k20, and I want to make it a link style suspention with air bags and coil over shocks, for ride, but do you think that this set up can handle a very heavy load, I'm just looking for something to actually make my truck ride good, like it does with a full cord on the back, any way any input would be nice, thanks

Re: 3/4 ton link Question
Air bags would work better for accommodating heavy loads & good ride quality. I can't recall seeing any coil-over shock set-ups intended for heavy loads (beyond those old, cheapish, coil over the shock add on set-ups).

Re: 3/4 ton link Question
Sorry, what I'm really asking is if I can just use air bags as a good ride and also a good ride quality out of it,

Re: 3/4 ton link Question
Yes. Bags can/will offer excellent ride quality & versatility; loaded or not.

Re: 3/4 ton link Question
Being a 4x4 i would try a set of helper bags in the rear.

Re: 3/4 ton link Question
I'm planing on getting rid of the old 3/4 ton springs, (the kind that fell like someone welded the axle to the frame) and going with a 4 link style suspension, and I'm wondering what needs to be there to support everything and give a good ride as well, or will it limit the flex of the truck?

Re: 3/4 ton link Question
If you want flex like off roading i would go with a triangulated 4 link with good coil overs. The front you could do a 3 link with a track bar.Just crawl under any jeep wrangler 97 and newer they run that kinda suspension stock. If your building a on road and off road you can use good adjustable coil overs so its stiffer on road and front and rear sway bars with disconnects or currie makes a antirock sway bar that is more for on road and off road.
