Very upset with LMC right now!!!

Called them last Thu/10 at 7am California time to order a windshield gasket. This is the last thing I need right now to go racing on Sat/Sun. I was told it was in stock and with a ground shipment it should be here by Wed/16 or Thu/17. Got a tracking number via e-mail this morning. It didn't ship until last night from Lenexa KS, on it's way to San Pablo CA.

It doesn't seem like LMC is willing to help me out on this at all. The girl I spoke to was going to have a supervisor listen in on the original call, perfect, they will here what is said. Supervisor is supposed to call me back, but no promise on when. But that isn't going to do me any good as according to the girl I talked to they still won't ship me one at their expense overnight or even 2-day. She says if I am not happy with the time I get the gasket or don't need it anymore, then to refuse the shipment.

I do sales as well. If I make a comitment to a customer and don't hit it, we pay the red/blue shipment to get it to them. That is just plain good customer service. LMC is not giving that.

So very mad right now!!!

UPS info is not totaly up to date so I don't have a real ETA.

Re: Very upset with LMC right now!!!

Sorry to hear that.. I've had real hit and miss service and quality froim LMC recently. Some of the stuff is GREAT,, and than some will be total junk. (like a $300 ABS headliner that was 1/2" too short to fit in both directions, and the foam backing let go in less than 2 years)

Local glass company couldn't find the rubber?

Re: Very upset with LMC right now!!!

With the amount of west coast vendors you should be able to get one and send the lmc stuff back.

Re: Very upset with LMC right now!!!

Ever deal with the Truck Shop in Ca.? I'm getting ready to place a pretty good sized order with one of these places and haven't quite made up my mind who to buy from. I've ordered from Chevy Duty in the past and had good luck with them, but they don't have everything I'm needing this time around. I've got catalogs from the Truck Shop and LMC and was planning on using one of them.
Sorry to hear of your bad luck w/LMC. Hopefully everything works out well for you.

Re: Very upset with LMC right now!!!

Buy one from a Cali vendor and refuse the shipment on the LMC one.

I buy almost everything I need from the Truck Shop. They have always had EVERY part I need in stock. I cannot speak for their mail order service though, I am local to them and buy at the counter.

Thanks for the heads-up on them. Sounds like I'll be ordering from them rather than LMC.
Thanks again!

Re: Very upset with LMC right now!!!

For what it's worth, I was recently searching for a supplier that specifically sold the Precision Brand windshield gasket with the extra slot for the stainless trim. I ended up buying it from American Classic Truck Parts. I spoke with customer service and they stated they sold 6 different brands. If I wanted a specific brand just make a note in the order and that’s what they would send.

I entered the note in the information field, and they sent me exactly what I wanted. They were also cheaper than many of the other suppliers. If I were to do it again I would call their customer service dept before placing the order, because they will go the extra mile. In fact my first question was placed at 11 pm and I received the response before midnight!

the only thing LMC is good for; is their catalogs; as a reference.
