Hood to cowl seal
I change my hood to cowl seal today and the new seal does not lay over like the old seal. Is this the correct installation? Or what could I do to get it to lay over? I believe it should lay over and cover the cowl screws. I bought the seal from LMC. Any advice out there?

Re: Hood to cowl seal
Those lmc seals are no good, and will lift the hood. The right seals are more of a V shape and will flatten out. I would check with other board parts suppliers for a good one.

Re: Hood to cowl seal
I originally purchased one from LMC and had it on the truck for about 2 years. Tried everything I could to get it to lay down, nothing worked. Several people said that after a while in the heat, it will cooperate, but this never did. Finally replaced it with one from GMCPauls, worked right the first time.
