Your thoughts??

Hi im only new to this site.
Here is my 1969 c10. Its been a project of mine for the past few years.
Im from Melbourne, Australia. so part and knowledge isnt as common down here.

Here is a few images.

It did have a big block 427, strong motor but had a few problems with the starter motor ruining ring gears. So i sold the turbo 400 and 427. The past six months the following has been done.

Fuel Tank removed and alluminium fuel cell installed under the bed.
600hp stroked ls2 with full wiring loom and engine mounts
custom billet electronic 4 spd with 2500-2800 high stall. (similar to new th700r)
new lokar floor shifter (auto but looks like old skool manual truck shifter)
all new autometer gauges.
ceramic coated headers
20x8.5 and 20x10 wheels
new wilwood disc brakes
drop spindles
all new suspension -( air bags removed)
chrome brake booster.
full 3" custom stainless steel twin exhaust
the list goes on.

I have purchased a heap of new parts. including new front end, headlights, tail lights, side mirrors, rearview mirror, steering wheel, exterior trims.

Trying to get her to almost show quality but to drive frequently and enjoy.

More photo's on my page. But your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

Re: Your thoughts??

Looks quite nice. I like the late engine, it will probably give you more torque and definitely more power. Not sure what you mean by "custom billet electronic 4-speed.." though. Do you mean that it has billet parts inside? If so, it must shift nicely, way better than stock.

Where in Melbourne are you? I'm in Bayside. I've got a '67 that I've had for about a year but is basically stock other than a two barrel 350 with HEI fitted.

If you need any power steering components, give me a call, I sell the Borgeson range Down Under and have a box for your truck if you need one. Also pumps, brackets, hoses, etc.

Keep posting the photos.

Regards from Down Under.

Re: Your thoughts??

Thanks. Its still a work in progress...
Yeah the auto is new but its been pulled apart and fitted with custom billet parts. Built tough to handle over 1000hp. Yeah i could possibly need some powersteering components but i wont know till i get it back from the engineers..
I opted for the newer engine just for reliability and its a bit more practical with the fuel injection(less headaches and maitenance).

Are there any chevy shows down here? Or even truck shows?
Im from Greensborough area.

Thanks for checking out my ride and the feedback.
