Thumbs down 3/4 drop

for a 3/4 drop on a 65 long fleet would some of you guys recommend a 1 inch coil and 2 and a half drop spindle and a 4 inch coil in the rear.if so do i have to c notch or relocate my shocks. would i have any allinement issues.any info would help

If they are old stock front springs, you probably won't notice any difference with 1" drop springs. Your old springs have 45-50 years of sag in them, they probably have at least an inch of drop with the sagging. Just do the spindles if you are OK with the old front springs. Doesn't hurt to change out 50 year old springs though. You won't have any alignment issues on the front, shocks will be fine too.

On the rear 4" you can get by without a C notch. If you will haul a lot you may want th enothc. Either that or do a 3" rear spring with 1" block, or 2" spring with 2" block. With 4" rear springs I would relocate the shocks and get an adjustable panhard bar.

i forgot to mention i am putting in a bbc all steel and i have the stock 6 cyl springs.would they do with the drop spindles.

I would probably get the new 1" drop springs if you are swapping to a big block.

You may see if a mod can tow this thread to the suspension forum. There are a lot of very knowledgable suspension gurus over there.
