Re: update on my 468

781's have made 800hp on 496's... If I were you, I would go with something in the 150-170gph and run an 8an line. Do you know who the builder is?

Re: update on my 468

Any idea on how many hours on the motor. Jets boats are pretty hard on engines. I would think that a 750 cfm carb on a dual plane would be good for you. And ya 150 gph + and 8n line would do you well.

Not many hours....I checked lifters and no wear at all.... do you think it will make good bottom end power for the truck project?

Re: update on my 468

Yeah most boat cams make low end power and run out at about 4500rpm. I put. 402bb(was in a jet boat) in my 87 chev 4x4 with a 770 truck avenger and it did great offroad with 35x14.5 thornbird on it. I had to rebuild mine shrtly after do to a main bearing knock

Re: update on my 468

We need to know the cam specs as well as the intended useage, weight of the truck, rear gears, rear tire size, etc.

Re: update on my 468

look at the quick fuel pump.. nice set up with a built in bypass.. price wise very nice, I have on installed on my truck. they are -8 lines already.. so that makes plumbing easier.

I have the bypass and pump back at the tank, then up to twin regs ( carb and NOS) math wise the pump will work with its rated GPH.. Now my pump was tested and it is at 183 GPH not that it matters but ever little bit helps

That pump is 199 bucks. and is a low amp draw ..
