Any difference in 68 and 69 rear end mountings?
I have a 68 K20 3/4 ton 4WD with an Eaton rear end. I want to use a Dana 60 out of a 69 3/4 ton chevy. I was thinking it should be a straight swap. Are there any differences between the mountings of the trucks?

You'll have to measure the distance between leaf springs and the actual spring width itself... Keep as many parts from the 68 that you can... diy4x.com has cheap parts if you need to weld new perches to the newer axle...
I placed a 2WD posi axle under my 68 K10...

Re: Any difference in 68 and 69 rear end mountings?
Is the '69 a 4x4 also? Should be 40.5" spring centers on 4x4 and on Longhorn with 2 1/2" wide springs. If it's on 2 1/4" springs and 2x4 will be 42.5" spring centers.

73-91 square body 1 ton 14 bolts are a direct swap.
