Does anyone know where I can get all the cables and other parts for my parking brake? This is like searching for the holy grail!! lol
I have a 69 long bed 4x4 chevy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not the answer you are looking for but you probably should measure what you have and go from there, I found something close to what I needed from amazon. I am building a 2wd Blazer so I don't think they exist. I copied (just a pickup) Bruce's idea and used rollers and rerouted the cables to work for me. good luck .....Ed

Thanks for the reply! Everything was missing when I bought the truck. I might have to go the route you did. FWIW LMC had alot of parking brake cables for 2wd.

Dont quite know why they would be different for 4wd as opposed to 2wd, parking brake only does the rear on vehicles anyway...

oh, forgot to add, rockauto should have everything you need, and they show no difference between 2wd and 4wd

I couldnt see why 2wd and 4wd was different either,but I called Lmc and they said it was different. I called Rockauto and they had some stuff but they didnt know for sure what they had. I was hoping I could maybe adapt a 73-87 setup. Thank you for your help!!!

I think the 4x4 cables are almost a ft. longer due to added height and they attach to the frame. 2wd cables attach to the trailing arms.

Another option is to go with a Mico Lever Lock, this took care of my problem. Works great and don't have to deal with the cable issues while rock crawling.

What is the lever lock. I havent heard of it. I'd give it a try.

The units offered by the parts stores are wrong. When working on that part of my 72 4x4 I used NAPA and carquest, both were too short and were correct according to the BOOK, I went as far as discussing it with the district rep for both companies and they could not find anything that was right or even close (several weeks of research). I went to Inline tube and they fit and look exactly as the originals did and in my opinion if you want it right this is the route to go. Harold
