Front Brake Hose Interference W/Drop Spindles - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 73-ish front cross-member with factory disc brakes. I tried to install factory '73 front rubber brake lines today and the hose hits the upper ball joint nut. This must be due to the 2.5" drop spindles, does any one know of a fix? A hose from another model? I don't want to bend the hose I have, as this can weaken it. I'd appreciate any help!

Mine did this as well, a custom made longer line was actually cheaper than a stock replacement!

Here is the fix to my issue... a little tweaking of the metal hose end and we are in business.
