283 no side mounts!?
Well my current engine finally died and I picked up a 283 that was in the budget, unfortunately its a '50s block and there are no side mounts, and I didnt realize this until getting it home. How am I supposed to mount the motor in my '65?

A motor plate like in this link. Buy one or build one.

That is an early 1956-57 Chevy 283. Kind of rare these days. Sell it to a restorer and buy another one for your truck.

How much could I go about selling this engine for? It doesnt have a place for the bellcrank for my 3 speed so I have no use for it

Re: 283 no side mounts!?
aside from just craigslisting it - might do a quick search for a forum like this for tri-fives, there are several - browse and choose one to advertise on - those types of sites give you the max density of folks that might be interested in what you're selling. verify the #'s and know what you're advertising first though.
