Post Bbc Motor Towers, Suburban Spare Tire Well, Suburban Rear Interior Trim On Ebay

I have a few parts on Ebay that someone may need. I have a set of BBC Motor towers w/mounts, a suburban rear spare tire well and a set of rear interior trim for a suburban. I will be scrounging around the place to see what I have that I don't need and will be putting some more parts up for auction. Thanks for looking!

you should put in the auction what year the motor mounts are out of. So that people know if its the 67-71 or the 72's.

These came off a 70 Suburban but I am not sure what they originally came off of. Hopefully, someone who knows more than me will look at the picture of the towers and know what year the towers/mounts are from as I truly don't know. I have never built a big block truck so I am not too knowlegeable in this area. I do know that they are big block towers that work on our trucks and that is about it. If anyone knows exactly what year they are off of I would really like to know. Thanks for the response to my post.

I sent you an email. Would you email me your email address and I will send you some pictures. Perhaps you could post them on the board as I have not had any luck posting pictures here.

Thanks,

Ernie

From this far away they look like 72 towers, but would need better pics to really kow. If they are 72 towers, you should get a good price on ebay for them.

I wish I knew for sure then I could post the info on EBAY. What is the major difference between the 67-71 and the 72's?

the 67-71 mounts are more prone to breaking, and they mount the engine up higher in the frame. The 72 mounts are completely encased. If the rubber mount gives out, the engine is still held down by the metal. They are known as "clamshell". Really a better design. Plus the rubber mounts are way cheaper than the 67-71 type. I am selling a set now on the board. I have seen them go for as much as $120 on ebay, but I have also seen them go for $30, so it's a gamble. Have to have them there at the right time. Looks like yours are doing good.

Thumbs up

THOSE ARE 73 ON UP MOTOR MOUNTS. WHOEVER GETS THEM IS GOING TO BE PISSED WHEN THEY FIND OUT. 72 MOTOR MOUNTS GO FOR $80 - $100 WHERE 73 UP MOUNTS GO FOR ABOUT $15-$20

I had no idea what year these mounts were from as they were on a suburban I bought. I am going to end the auction for them. Thanks for the info. All the responses that I received by email told me that they were 72 models.

I ended the auction on the BBC Towers as I am sure that they are 73+ towers instead of 72. The easiest way for me to tell now is that the 72's have one rib on them while the 73+ have two. Now I know so I am going to look for the 72's. Thanks for all the info I received on differentiating between the two from the board members.
